About me

I have a background in policy and economics, and am now a PhD candidate in Economic Sociology, Organisation, and Labour (ESOL) at the University of Milan. My main research focus is deindustrialisation and its effects on social and institutional trust. Specifically, I investigate how social position and mobility shape (mis)trust dynamics and how these spread through social networks, as well as the pervasive sense of loss that emerges in post-industrial places undergoing profound transformations in their built environment. My work draws on a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative, qualitative, and computational tools.

On the rare occasions in which I’m off work, I am also involved in cultural and social organisations, such as Ippogogo APS and RxR - una Regione per Restare.

This site accomodates my research work, the occasional blog post, and some teaching material.
